John Howard died on Friday, July 30th. John had gone into Reston Hospital for a hip replacement on Wednesday, I think, had a massive stroke, and died two days later. In keeping with John's life he is still reaching out to help others. Even in the hours of grief, John's family has asked his friends to make donations in his name to the Spinal Cord InjuryNetwork.

John was a former board member and for over ten years an incredibly generous supporter. He was a good man with a big laugh and a bigger heart. John supported us because he believed in what we did. He contributed his time, energy, sweat and connections, as well as his hard earned cash. (He made the largest donation ever made to the Spinal Cord Injury Network.) Several board members and I attended a huge celebration of John's life at the Vienna Baptist Church. Dave Burds spoke for the Network.
